STEAM Design for Science
From the first primitive etchings on rocks to 3D modeling and 3D printing, drawing, using a stick, a pencil or a computer has been at the heart of creative and technological expression in man. Today, in education, we have the best opportunity in decades to reintroduce the lost art of drawing back into children’s lives, re-gifting them one of the best learning tools known to man, their hands. The influence of drawing by hand runs through all aspects of a good STEAM education. Today so many industries require concept and creativity to create and produce the products and services of the near future, that it seems impossible not to be teaching this fundamental learning skill to all students.
